The kit
What exactly do I get?
Sixteen PDF files with 241 pages: boards, routine charts, a weekly schedule, chore and star charts, 27 step-by-step checklists, 298 picture symbol cards, 239 real photo cards, a calendar board, clock cards, planners, 90 home labels and 35 pages of games. See the full list of every card and page.
What ages is it for?
The kit has no set age. The pictures show everyday activities such as getting dressed, meals, school, chores and bedtime. Look at the sample pages on the home page to judge whether the style suits your family.
Is it only for autism and ADHD?
No. It is a kit of visual schedules and picture cards that any family can use. It was put together with autism and ADHD families in mind.
What language is it in?
US English.
Can I add my own pictures?
Yes. Blank cards in both sizes, blank labels and a blank checklist are included for your own photos, drawings or words. In the Routine Builder you can also change the words on any card.
Where do the pictures come from?
The picture symbols are from Mulberry Symbols, © Steve Lee, used under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license. The photos are public domain or CC0 images. A few icons and the clock faces were drawn for this kit.
Printing
What do I need to print it?
Any home printer and US Letter paper (8.5 × 11 in). Cardstock holds up better. You can also send the files to a print shop. Print at “Actual size” or 100% so the cards match the spaces on the boards. See the printing guide.
Do I have to print all 241 pages?
No. Most families start with one board and the cards for one part of the day, then print more pages when they want them.
Is it in color or black and white?
Both. Every file comes in a Color version and a grayscale Ink-Saver version.
Do I have to laminate?
No. Laminating makes cards last longer and lets you use a dry-erase marker on the charts, but the kit works on plain paper or in sheet protectors too.
How do the cards stay on the boards?
Most families use hook-and-loop dots or magnets, which are not included. Reusable putty also works, or you can lay the cards on the board on a table.
Will it print on A4 paper?
The pages are made for US Letter. On A4 they print with wider margins at the top and bottom if you keep “Actual size”; the cards stay the right size.
Access and the online library
How do I get the kit after I pay?
Right after checkout you receive the download and the link to your online library by email.
What is the online library?
A private area of this site with every page of the kit to look through on any device, each PDF to download on its own, a how-to guide for every board, and the Routine Builder.
What is the Routine Builder?
A tool that runs in your browser. Pick cards, place them on a board, change the words if you like, and print it or save it as a PDF. It has twelve kinds of pages and eighteen ready-made routines to start from. Your boards are saved on your own device.
Can I use it on my phone?
You can look through the pages and use the Routine Builder on a phone or tablet. To print you need a device connected to a printer, or you can send the PDF to a print shop.
License and refunds
Can I use it in my classroom or practice?
The license covers personal use in one household. For other uses, please write to us through Help and contact.

What is the refund policy?

Is it a subscription?

What the kit is not
Will this help with behavior, focus or speech?
We do not make that claim. The kit is a tool for organizing routines with pictures. For questions about your child’s development, behavior or health, please talk with the professionals who know your child.

No. It is not therapy, a treatment, or medical, psychological or educational advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
Was it reviewed by a therapist?
We do not claim professional endorsement. If you work with a therapist or teacher, they can tell you whether visual supports like these suit your child.
